Irvin PR Summer Internship

Irvin PR is excited to offer a hands-on summer internship for a motivated, curious, and enthusiastic student ready to gain real-world agency experience.

This internship is designed for someone eager to expand their communications and public relations skills while supporting a fast-paced, collaborative team. You’ll gain exposure to client work that makes a positive impact in the community and contribute meaningfully to an agency with more than 20 years of proven experience.

Who You Are

Our ideal intern is a rising college senior or recent graduate with a strong interest in social media, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field. You’re curious, proactive, and excited to learn by doing. You know when to ask questions, when to listen, and when to roll up your sleeves and get to work.

You’re a strong communicator with a positive attitude who enjoys building relationships and collaborating with others. You bring energy to the workplace, approach tasks with care and organization, and are open to feedback as part of your growth. Previous internship experience is preferred but not required.

What You’ll Do

  • Support account executives and leadership team with day-to-day client work and campaign execution
  • Support social media campaigns by planning, drafting and producing creative content
  • Help draft written materials such as news releases
  • Conduct research on local and national trends
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and team meetings
  • Assist with event support, community outreach, and administrative tasks as needed
  • Gain exposure to client relationships across nonprofit, arts and entertainment, restaurants, public affairs, and major community events

Final Details

$18/hour | Part-time (20 hours/week)

The internship will occur during the summer of 2026. A start and end date will be determined at time of offer.

This is an in-person position with required office time every week.

Office hours will be determined prior to start date. To make the most of the internship, this person will take advantage of some early morning and weekend work opportunities (e.g., participate in client events and/or oversee media interviews).

Intern must have access to a working vehicle.
